How to customize my confirmation message?

You have a few options when it comes to customizing your confirmation message. In the Confirmation message settings on the List settings page, you can:

  • Add a custom subject line (or select one of the predefined subject lines)
  • Add text to the body template you’ve selected for the message
  • Select the message format (plain text or HTML) and the from and reply-to addresses

Adding a custom subject line

  1. Go to Contacts > Lists.
  2. Hover the mouse pointer over the Actions menu on the right to expand the Actions list.
  3. Select Settings to open List settings.
  4. In Confirmation message settings, scroll to Subject line and click Add custom subject line. Enter the new text in the space available. Note: Custom subject lines are subject to review by our Customer Success team.
  5. Click the Save confirmation message button to apply the changes.

Adding text to a message

  1. If you’re already in Confirmation message settings, skip to Step 2. If not, follow Steps 1-3 described in Adding a custom subject line
  2. Under Body template, select a confirmation message template.
  3. Click Confirmation message to view the template text.
  4. Add new text in the space available.
  5. Click the Save confirmation message button to apply the changes.

Please note that there is no option to enter URLs, emails or JavaScript related keywords.
There is also a limit of 255 characters.

Selecting message format and from and reply-to addresses

  1. If you’re already in Confirmation message settings, skip to Step 2. If not, follow Steps 1-3 described in Adding a custom subject line.
  2. Choose between HTML and plain text options for the message format.
  3. Scroll to From address and Reply-to address. Expand each list to select the address. Note: You can only choose “From” addresses you’ve already added to your account. To learn how to add a new address, please go to How can I add new “From” address and name for my messages.
  4. Click the Save confirmation message button to apply the changes.
