What are actions, conditions, and filters?
Actions, conditions, and filters are elements you use to build workflows.
To build a workflow, you first need to define a condition. When the condition is met, automation executes the associated workflow. Depending on how simple or complex you want the workflow to be, you can use one or many conditions. The same rule applies to all conditions in a workflow: when your contacts meet the condition, they move along the path you set for them.
Use the action elements to define what happens when a condition is met. For example, you can send your contact a thank-you message (an action) when he or she clicks a link in your newsletter (a condition).
Use filters to create a subscriber segment. This segment becomes the object of a specific action. For example, you can use the Amount filter if you want the first 100 contacts to receive a special offer message (an action).
