What happens when I redirect my nameservers to GetResponse?

If you want your domain to appear in the URL of the website or the landing page created in GetResponse, you have to change the nameservers.

Before conducting this action, you should be aware of the following:

  1. If you already have a page linked with that domain, it will go down. In such a case, instead of linking the root domain (e.g. getresponse.com), we suggest creating a subdomain (e.g. promo.getresponse.com) instead, as it doesn’t require you to change nameservers.
  2. If you have an email account on that domain, it will stop working. In such a case, you can create a subdomain instead or you can provide us the MX and/or any other DNS records required for your email to work, such as CNAME, TXT, SRV, etc. Our tech team will then assign them to your domain on our end.

If you are using your domain also to send emails, all existing records created will stop working after changing the nameservers. Our tech team can create any records required for your email to work only if you provide us with the records in the text version.

We have no means to check what records are required for your email to work and we do not provide any assistance with obtaining that data. You can contact your email provider to get the records they need for the email to work. Your email account will only start working again if you provide us with the correct records.
