What is a landing page and why do I need one? Video
A landing page is a standalone web page that has:
- brief text promoting a single product, service, or a marketing event. It can include information about a lead magnet, e.g. a guide, report, or a video. You can share it with site visitors in exchange for their contact information.
- a contact form or call to action (CTA) button to encourage people to take advantage of the offer. In fact, turning site visitors to subscribers is the main goal of a landing page.
Landing pages are a perfect marketing tool because they can:
- increase conversion rate by keeping the visitors’ focus on the form,
- improve your SEO ranking with targeted and relevant content,
- build your brand recognition and business credibility.
What can I do with GetResponse landing pages?
In the GetResponse landing page editor, you can choose from 100+ customizable templates. We keep adding more designs to meet your marketing needs.
The drag-and-drop editor lets you create a landing page even if you don’t have programming skills. It makes it easy to add, edit, and remove elements such as text, images, buttons, or videos. It offers a quick way to add and embed a sign-up form, so you don’t need to build a separate one. It’s all in one place for your convenience.
Now you can also add a webinar signup form, product box and a course box to promote your content.
Want to optimize your landing page for mobile devices? You can go to the mobile workspace to preview and adjust the mobile version of the page.
Thank-you pages
A thank-you page is what your subscriber sees when they fill out the form. It’s a good idea to design it with as much care and attention as the main page to make your subscriber feel appreciated.
In GetResponse, we want to make this step easier for you. That’s why landing pages come with default thank-you pages with matching design. You can edit the text and change the layout as you see fit.
You can also add links to your lead magnets, such as ebooks or training videos. This way they will only become accessible as a reward when someone fills out the opt-in form.
If you want, you can direct your subscriber to your own website after subscription. Or, you can have them stay on the same page (meaning, they won’t see the thank-you page).
Tracking
GetResponse will track the number of visitors and subscribers for your page. You can access this information under Tools > Landing pages. Our system can also send you a notification email when someone subscribes.
We offer a wide range of integrations with services such as Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and Yandex Metrica. This will let you collect as much data as you need from your landing page traffic.
Domains
We can host your landing pages at our domains for free. Or, you can host it at your own domain, so the page URL displays your domain name, not ours. You can add your domains and subdomains when you edit the page settings.

SEO settings
You can set an image so when people share your page on Facebook, Instagram, or X, that image will be displayed in their posts. Under SEO you can add a Page title that will appear at the top of the browser window or tab, and as a clickable title on the search results page. You can also add a Page description, that will appear as a snippet under the title on the search results page.
Chats
The chat option allows people to talk to you as they’re viewing your offer live directly on the landing page. The chat option helps you get to know your visitors and increases the conversion rate. You can find more information about it here.
