What is FTP and how do I use it? MAX

Each MAX² server comes with a free FTP account. FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, is a standard network protocol used for transferring files from one host to another. 

FTP can be used to:

  • import or update contacts if your file is bigger than 50MB (here you can learn how to do it)
  • import blocklists or suppression lists
  • import external segments
  • receive custom reports (they are uploaded to the “Reports” folder on the FTP server). Note: these kinds of reports are only available in MAX2 accounts.
